After writing a bi-weekly column for the North Hills News Record for more than seven years, the piece I wrote in January 2000 was my last. The newspaper was acquired by the Tribune-Review in 1998, and after a year, the long-awaited decision to discontinue the News Record as a separate newspaper finally came through.

Most of the columns featured here cover timeless issues. After all, not much new happens in the economy--the same issues just get recycled, renamed and debated all over again.
